DETAILS
A proven dam with 7 foals under her belt and a dabbler (a Champion dabbler, mind you) in the show ring in halter and driving, PARADISE PARK is a mare that has long graced HF with her presence, and has served as an influential bastion for Polish Arabian breeding. This stunning grey mare still has a lot of spitfire and elegance. She's in wonderful shape and ready to show in the HFAHA halter classes, where she'll no doubt impress the judges and wow the competition, and/or she'd be back at home in a breeding barn, rightly taking her place as one of the queenly mares who's proven herself time and again.
While PARADISE PARK has been out of the public eye for years, her history follows her into the present: she was the 2008 HFAHA All Nations Cup Ten Year Old Mare Champion, where one of the judges remarked that he'd "never seen such presence in a mare." Her foals, some of which are still active, have competed and raced successfully in the HFAHA and HFAJC. PARADISE PARK was once owned by The Wayfarer Stud, a breeding program in HF that specialized in Polish and Egyptian Arabian breeding. PARADISE PARK was one of the crown jewels in Wayfarer's broodmare string, and she's ready to be the crown jewel in another illustrious program.
PARADISE PARK'S bloodlines utilize real-life Polish greats. Her sire, KORDELAS, was a phenomenal sire and known for both his robust, masculine beauty (she takes her grey coloring from him, as well as her arched neck), and his big movement. He is one of the great MONOGRAMM sons who did well in halter and under saddle, as he was the 2000 UK International Reserve Champion Stallion, a 2000 and 2001 World Senior Top Ten Stallion at Salon du Cheval, and a 2004 US National Top Ten Reining Horse. KABALA, KORDLEAS' dam, was a lovely PALAS daughter who claimed a Reserve Champion Mare title at the European Championships, and was a Polish National Junior Mare Champion. She was also an incredible broodmare--besides KORDELAS, she was the dam of KWESTA (dam of the great U.S. National Champion mare, KWESTURA) and KAWALKADA, a U.S. National Champion Mare.
DIANA PASB, PARADISE PARK'S dam, was a gorgeous, feminine chestnut beauty who broke records when she sold for $1.2 million in 1985 at the United Polish Ovation auction. DIANA PASB was a Polish National Champion Mare and Polish National Reserve Champion Junior Mare. She became the dam of a handful of foals who did well in halter and racing. DIANA PASB'S sire is the great PROBAT, a dark bay Polish stallion bred in Sweden and known for his versatility as a sire. He sired hundreds of foals, and dozens went on to become champions--Polish National Champions, U.S. National Champions, World Champions, Swedish National Champions, and so on. With bloodlines like PARADISE PARK'S, it's no wonder she's such a beauty with great producing ability.
PARADISE PARK has many great years open for breeding. She was bred through 2007, but the following years are open for new possibilities. She has proven herself as a performance and racing dam, so she's just right for those looking to expand their AJC breeding herd, or for someone who wants a long line of champion pure Polish halter competitors in their foals. She is a proven producer of excellent pure Polish foals, and with her substance and movement, she'd make a great cross for Spanish or Egyptian stallions.
