The Mare:
Diamond Capri CH is the doe-eyed, refined faced, spotted beauty of our foal crop this year. She has an in-your-pocket personality and is not easily startled - she has the grit of a true competition horse, and the go-go-go and build of a solid endurance horse. Which is no surprise given who her parents are, and her dam's incredible long and versatile career in which she remain sound through it all! We look forward to what this filly will mature into, and hope she will become a true ambassador of the Pintabian on the endurance trails as well.
The Lineage:
Diamond Capri CH's sire is our very own HOF Concerto CH++++/, a horse with long lineage in HF, including Windblown and C&H forebearers. is a multi-National title earning stallion and one of the most notable Pintabian foundation sires in HF. His pedigree features some legendary HF greats such as *Taisoun+ (dam of WA Enchantment++++!), HOL Prince Of Perfection CH++++//, HOL Princess Kostalot++++, HOF Wonder Of Ofir++++, and more. As a sire, he has produced successful Pintabians in HF and All-Sim, notably the stallion Capriccio CH++++/ who is closing in on his HOF. As a show horse, Concerto is more than proven, with seven National Championships and a 2014 AHA Year End Award for his top ten in Sire Of the Year.
Diamond Capri CH's dam is the long-time C&H resident *Diamond Thrasher CH++. She was a champion in Equine Esteem and started her career as a championship polo horse before being retrained, then shown in saddleseat, dressage, and hunter over the years. Imported in 2003, she had on and off activity though producing foals, before coming back to C&H Ranch and entering into a late career of endurance. After all, she's bred for it! She did very well, securing three firsts and three Best Conditioned in races ranging from 75 to 200 miles. She took seventh place in the 2015 Tevis Cup, and her record that year earned her the title of 2015 ERA Year End Awards Best Conditioned Horse of the Year and 2015 ERA Year End Awards OVERALL HORSE OF THE YEAR.
